Hello Everyone! I have NEVER done much with scary Halloween decorations. But when our twin grandsons asked to have their Birthday party combined with a Halloween party, Grandma and Papa had to get creative. First, we decided to have a haunted ghost walk in the woods behind their house. I think we surprised our selves on just how creative we can be. Look at what we made for this haunted ghost walk.
The skull heads are pathway markers that have LED flashing eyes and they also make an Eerie Halloween sound.
We attached the skull head to a piece of PVC pipe. We added T-joints to attach the shoulders and attached the arms to the shoulder with elbow joints. Lastly, we inserted the PVC piping for the body, attached to the T-joint, inside a cone.
The skeleton hands are gloves that I purchased at the Halloween Spirit store. I attached the gloves to the PVC piping with a twist tie. The black cape is nothing more than a table covering from the Dollar Store.
We made the coffin out of a several different cardboard boxes. I love how the duck tape turned out after I spray painted the coffin with black primer paint. The chains draping the coffin we purchased at Wal-Mart.
I had intended to make hooded capes for all four of them, but I think I like the black and gray cheese cloths draped over their heads. When we set up for this Birthday/Halloween party, we will use a red spot light on our Scary Skelton display.
This is turning out to be quite a Birthday/Halloween party. They are planning all kinds of fun Halloween kids games, hay rides, and a bon fire with lots of food! But I think this haunted ghost walk is more for the adults then the kids.
I have to tell you, my first attempt at making a scary Halloween project turned out to be anything but scary. I made the cutest ghosts which are supposed to circle a bon fire, made of lights! I call them my angel ghosts. I’m waiting to share them with you because I need to set them up outside first. And these are only two of the many displays that we have planned.
As always, thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful week.
Gail
