Restore Round Table

A few weeks ago, I purchased this round table at the Habitat for Humanity Restore for $10.   I loved the size of the table but what really sold me were the legs.  They are solid brass making the table very heavy.

When I brought it home I wasn’t quite sure what I was going to do with it.  After placing it in the living room,  I knew right then and there what I was going to do ….. make an ottoman using the table…..and that’s just what I did.

I sprayed painted the legs because I wasn’t crazy about the brass.

I hot glued the pleated trim on top of the table and then added the padding.

I’m sorry but I didn’t take pictures of the following steps because I was working like mad and just simply forgot until I was almost finished.   For the padding,  I bought a foam mattress pad at Wal-Mart.  It was a lot cheaper than buying foam at Jo Ann’s.   I tufted the center with a button.

I stapled the fabric around the sides of the table and then hot glued the trim around the sides.

So far, we’ve enjoyed having the extra seating especially  when we play Wii.

Thanks for stopping by and may your day be filled with all the happiness it can hold.
